Customer Service/Inside Sales

Laplink Software, an industry leading provider of PC connectivity solutions, is seeking an experienced customer service/inside sales professional with a passion for technology and customer satisfaction. This individual will be responsible for responding to incoming phone and email inquiries from consumers and businesses regarding Laplink products, resolving customer issues to insure a high level of customer satisfaction, converting customer inquiries to inside sales opportunities as appropriate, assisting with general administrative duties, and assisting with outbound follow up efforts related to sales and marketing campaigns. The successful candidate will demonstrate an ability to use communication, conflict resolution and sales skills to drive "win-win" results for Laplink and our customers. Additionally, this position offers a path into a corporate sales role within the Laplink sales team.

Qualifications for this position include proven success in a customer service and/or telesales role, as well as strong phone based and written communications skills. In addition, the successful candidate should have strong PC software industry knowledge and an ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. Successful track record in customer service and/or inside sales strongly preferred.

Intermediate/Senior .NET Software Developer

Want to work with a small and dynamic team that is creating the next generation of peer-to-peer collaboration software at our Vancouver, BC office?

The successful candidate is required to have strong technical skills in Windows Application development using Microsoft .NET framework.

You are an energetic and self-motivated person who possesses excellent communication and leadership skills.

Your responsibilities include:

  • design and implement software components
  • participate in peer and code reviews
  • recommend and implement processes that increase efficiency and effectiveness of the development environment
  • coordinate testing with QA testers
  • plan and coordinate product releases
  • approach challenges with enthusiasm and positive energy
  • effective communication skills with team members
  • enjoys working in team environment

You must have the following skills or knowledge:

  • experience in C#/.NET and Windows Application development
  • experience in Win32 and GDI+ and developing Windows Forms in .NET
  • experience in developing commercial grade server applications
  • familiar with network protocols (TCP, UDP, Proxy, etc.)
  • thorough understanding of multi-threading and performance
  • strong knowledge of best practices and design patterns
  • knowledge of distributed systems
  • peer-to-peer product knowledge a definite plus
